FUND DESCRIPTIONS

Each GRACF fund helps to meet pressing needs in the world of our community. All provide opportunity to those who receive, as well as to those whose lives are touched by the rewards of their own generosity.

The extent of your own involvement can be designated by the type of fund you establish:

Donor Advised Funds
Donor Advised funds are established by individuals who wish to actively participate with foundation staff in designating distributions from their fund.

Donor Designated Funds
Designated funds provide ongoing support to organizations specified by their donors.

Field of Interest Funds
Field of Interest funds center on the specific interests, issues or concerns of an individual or organization. Among these are education, the arts and the environment.

Unrestricted Funds
Unrestricted funds have no constraints on their use or purpose. These funds allow the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation the greatest flexibility to respond to the current and future needs of the general Itasca County area of Northern Minnesota.
