GRANTS & PROGRAMS

The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation enables donors to make a difference in our community through grants, scholarships and programs. A collaborative effort of donors, volunteers and staff of the Community Foundation determine the greatest needs in these areas.

Grants are financial resources that are awarded or given to nonprofit organizations for specific projects or activities from donor-created funds. Current Grants:

The Community Foundation's Fall Grant Cycle
While grants can be awarded at anytime, the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation currently offers one major grant cycle each fall. The deadline to submit an application for the Community Foundation Fall Grant Cycle is September 1 st .

The Nashwauk Area Endowment Fund
The Nashwauk Area Endowment Fund is interested in supporting innovative and effective ideas that support the greater Nashwauk , Minnesota area. This area includes the areas of: Nashwauk, Nashwauk Township , Buck Lake and Pengilly . Grants can only be made to charitable organizations, and cannot be made to individuals.

The Nashwauk Area Endowment Fund's Main Grant Cycle:
Our main cycle offers grants of up to $15,000. The deadline for to submit an application is November 1 st . Grants are distributed during the month of January.

The Nashwauk Area Endowment Fund's Mini-Grant Cycle:
Our Mini-Grant cycle offers grants of up to $5,000. This is an on-going granting program. Grants can be awarded throughout the year from February 1 st - September 1 st . Grant applications will be considered throughout the year.

Applying for a grant through the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation is an easy, two-step online process:

    If approved, you will be notified via email. Then:

Programs

Programs are on-going activities that provide financial support and resources to specific area of interest from certain predefined funds. Programs are only administered through nonprofit organizations. For more information about a specific Program, select the appropriate link below.
