Closer To Home

April 27, 2017

Many families in the Greater Itasca Area are dealing with cancer. Numerous issues, including daily tasks, compound this tragedy, but Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital has responded to the health and well-being needs of our community again by instituting "Closer To Home" , a newly designed (existing) area of the clinic that is dedicated to serving our family, friends and neighbors right here at home with infusion services.  In the past, most cancer patients needed to travel long distances to receive their  chemotherapy treatments.  In case you aren't aware, many of these treatments entail getting infusions every day for a number of weeks.  Closer To Home makes a huge difference!  Thanks to grants totaling $5,000 from the Peter and Gloria Sella Burich Fund and the Edgar and Hannah Hetteen fund, "Closer To Home" is closer to reality!  If you would like more information about how to contribute to "Closer To Home" or how to receive services, contact Kelly Kirwin at the Grand Itasca Foundation.
